Danny Handweiler

BIO:

Danny Handweiler is Senior Managing Director of Raven Property Advisors. His career began in 2007 at Marcus & Millichap in his hometown of Southern California – working in Newport Beach and West Los Angeles. During the first several years of his career, he focused on distressed asset sales: sourcing, marketing, and selling bank-owned commercial properties for a variety of lenders.

In 2010, Danny decided to pursue a life long dream of moving to New York City, where he would broaden his knowledge of commercial real estate investing and valuation by pursuing a MS in Real Estate Finance from NYU’s Schack Institute of Real Estate. The location had changed, but the passion for real estate had not.

Upon graduating from NYU in 2012, Danny took a job with the New York Multifamily team of Marcus and Millichap, transitioning his specialization to mixed-use and multifamily buildings in Manhattan. Over the past decade, Danny was responsible for the sale of approximately 65 buildings throughout New York City, with an aggregate dollar value of over $700M. Notable transactions have been featured in such publications as the Real Deal, Commercial Observer, and New York Times. Past clients include private owners, foreign investors, institutional equity, and non-profit organizations.

Rich Velotta

BIO:

Rich Velotta is the Chief Executive Officer and Founder of Raven Property Advisors. Rich, along with the team at Raven, has been responsible for the sale of over 200 properties throughout New York City, with an aggregate value exceeding $1,000,000,000.

He is the recipient of the Commercial Observer 30 Under 30 Top Sales and Leasing Brokers Award, and the Brownstoner RADD Award for the Top 50 Professionals in Brooklyn Real Estate, Architecture, Development, and Design. He has written and been featured in numerous articles and publications, including the Real Deal, the Commercial Observer, and the NY Real Estate Journal.

Prior to founding Raven, Rich was Senior Managing Director of Investment Sales at Meridian Capital Group, handling sales of all property types throughout New York City, and was also the Director of Sales at Massey Knakal Realty Services (which became Cushman & Wakefield in 2014), specializing in the sale of middle market investment properties.

Rich prides himself on a reputation of honesty and integrity, and a calming demeanor that allows him to move steadily through difficult transactions.

Savitt Partners — Began career as a tenant rep broker and building agent, representing office and retail tenants and midtown landlords.

Ben Daniels

As a Partner at Raven Capital Advisors / Raven Property Advisors, Ben oversees debt and equity placement, sponsor relations, and  investment strategy. Ben also currently serves as President of Sagamore Blue, where he managed marina operations and related businesses across multiple states.

While a Principal at KD Sagamore Capital , Ben was overseeing acquisitions, financing, and project execution for mixed-use and multifamily developments. Previous to that role, Ben was working for CBRE as a retail broker on the national team, completing over 200,000 SF of retail transactions.
